SBCA - End of the Year Highlights... Ending the year on a high note! As we all know, "It takes a village". Celebrating Grandparent's and Special Friends Day! The SBCA students made beautiful cards, special letters and drawings to give to their Grandparents and Special Friends, who came to visit them in their classrooms. The cards, letters and drawing told them how important they are to the children and how very much they are loved and appreciated.
Celebrating the Feast Day of the Ascension of Jesus & Special Thank you to Mr. Peter Lynch Ms. Jackson's 2A students and Ms. Leslie's 2B students did a great job leading us at this School Mass celebrating the Feast Day of the Ascension of Jesus. A Special Thank you to Mr. Peter Lynch, President of the Lynch Foundation which supports the religious and educational efforts of Roman Catholic Church. We are truly grateful for the foundations support of our Early Childhood Program.
SBCA News- 3A & 3B Classes did an amazing job with their Wax Museum... The students in Mrs. Defelice 3A and Ms. Sammarco's 3B Class chose a famous person and read a biography about that person, as well as, dress up as their famous person. They did an amazing job with their Wax Museum much to their families and all other students delight who came to view this Wax Museum.

SBCA February Highlights... We marked the beginning of Lent with Ms. Sammarco's students in 3B wonderfully leading us at the school Mass. Students has a chance to celebrated Saint Valentine's Day by making cards telling their families how much they are loved. How do your spell excellence? SBCA! Congratulations to our SBCA Spelling Bee winner Mason Finn. Congratulation to the student who represented SBCA in the All Star Basketball games.
Cardinal Sean O'Malley Distributes Ashes at St. Brigid Church on Ash Wednesday. Celebrating the Feast Day of St. Brigid of Kildare. The SBCA Student Council wonderfully led us at this school Mass in honor of St. Brigid.
SBCA News... Visiting the So. Boston Branch Library The students in Ms. Byrne's 1B Class and Ms. Gannon's 1C Class had a chance to visit with Children's Librarian Dani at the South Boston Branch Library. They also had a chance to meet and talk with a new children's author, Leah Freeman-Haskin, author of "The Last Two Crayons".
"I Have a Dream" SBCA News Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The students in Ms. Guildford's 4A Class and Mrs. Coleman's 4B Class paid honor to Dr. King by sharing their ideas and hopes for how they can make a better and peaceful world for all, based on Dr. King's famous speech, "I Have a Dream". One student wrote... "My dream for the world is to end violence and war."

The Nativity Story... SBCA celebrated its Annual Christmas Concert . The 6th Graders did an amazing job reenacting the Christmas Story as we celebrated Jesus' Birthday. This was followed by a special Christmas Prayer for Children...
