Early Childhood Education

At the center of South Boston Catholic Academy’s work is a commitment to student learning and high achievement.

Our extensive curriculum begins in our Early Childhood Program (K0 and K1), which is a part of the highly regarded Lynch Foundation Early Childhood Project.  Teachers create an environment that nurtures the social and emotional well-being of all students in order for effective learning to take place.  Through the engaging curriculum, children play in order to achieve high learning goals.  The OWL program, “Opening the World of Learning,” is a comprehensive, integrated curriculum that helps students develop language and early literacy skills. In addition to helping children grow in all content areas, OWL helps them to build personal and social skills. This rewarding curriculum is enriched by fun, hands-on activities. Additionally, teachers receive scholarships to complete their Master’s in Early Childhood education through Cambridge College. 

Our enthusiastic teachers are what makes this program so special, and we are excited to continually provide a nurturing environment for our youngest students to flourish.
