Beyond School Hours
The Extended Day Program offers homework assistance for students in grades 1-6, ensuring academic support after school hours. Additionally, students have the opportunity to explore new instruments, engage in yoga, participate in sports, complete community service projects, and enjoy theme-based days on the first Friday of each month, among other enriching activities.
Before school care is available starting at 7:00 AM, while the Extended Day Program operates from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM on regular school days and from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM on half days.
For any changes to your child’s participation in the Extended Day Program, please contact the front office. Should you need to reach the Extended Day Program after hours, please call 617-596-7472 to access the EDP cell phone.

More Information
We are happy to provide before-school care starting at 7 a.m. each morning. Before school is drop-in style, and registering prior is not necessary. Our extended day program starts at 2:15 and ends at 5:30 p.m. On early release days (11:15 a.m. dismissal), EDP ends at 3:30 p.m. Registration is mandatory for our extended day program at the ECC and is done before the school year starts.
Before School Program:
Before school is a rolling drop-off program from 7:00-7:50, where students spend the morning playing games, working on art projects, coloring, puzzles, and playing with their peers.
After School Program:
After school is a rolling pick-up program from 2:30-5:30 at the O Street Door that serves as a true extension of the school day. The program includes the following:
Homework help for grades 1-6
Daily clubs and activities (Clubs include sports and games, yoga, robotics, dance, math and logic club, crafts, community service projects, instruments, and drama)
Time to play outside/in the gym with their peers
Hours:
Before school drop off begins at 7:00 AM
Before school drop off ends at 7:50 (no children will be permitted to enter after this time)
After school, available until 5:30 PM
